The City of Bastrop hosted the third public workshop for the Camp Swift Joint Land Use Study (JLUS) on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from 6:00 – 7:30 PM at the Bastrop Convention Center. The Draft JLUS was presented at this meeting, including maps showing the areas affected. The 35 attendees had an opportunity to ask questions and provide comments during the presentation.
The overall goal of the JLUS is to protect the viability of current and future missions at Camp Swift while accommodating growth, sustaining the economic health of the region, and protecting public health and safety.
